Life Lately

May is finally here and I am so excited because it is officially my birthday month!

And to kick off my birthday month (a tad early, I might say) Hubby allowed me to splurge on an early birthday present:

Ta-Da!

Life has been busy, and good. But I am also counting down the days until Summer Vacation!

We spent last weekend with friends and family to celebrate my niece's 1st Birthday (It's also her Birthday month!)

Here's a little blip from our Easter weekend:

I can't believe it is already April! This year has completely flown by. I feel like it was just yesterday that we were heading home from New York!

I'm not complaining though! Hopefully that means summer will be here in no time flat. And we all could use a little summer right now, especially with such a chilly spring (for those of you up north anyway).

Also, will you be watching Mad Men this weekend?
I'm so excited that I also came across this Mean Mad Man Tumblr

I'm also getting excited for the Great Gatsby. I was a little bummed when they pushed it back to May, but it's sure to be amazing
(as is the soundtrack!)

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday everyone! Hopefully you are enjoying a day off today. But if you are like my hubby and had to work *boo* I hope you are still having a lovely Friday!

Also, I am sooooooo sorry for my absence! Spring Madness has hit (with STAAR.... State Testing... in the air!) So now I'm counting the days until Summer Vacation!

I'd like to start out my post with a bit of Friday's Fancies. I'm so glad spring is here and that I can start wearing fun dresses again!

Also I'd like to share what I've been up to! I was able to scratch 2 things off my 2013 bucket list!

1. Remodel our Bathroom

(I promise a post about it soon!)

2. Complete the Color Run!

We even dressed up like unicorns and named our team "Sparkle Pony"

It was an absolute blast and I hope to keep the Color Run a tradition every year :)

I spent some time hanging out in Austin, TX for SXSW, as well as hanging out in my own city of Houston. It was a great way to spend Spring Break!

With Spring Break just around the corner, as well as the fact that several of my lovely friends are on vacation right now, I am seriously wishing to be anywhere but here!
